Maria Timmermann is active in the field of collective and individual employment and labour law, both in an advisory capacity and in disputes before the courts. She advises on collective bargaining, negotiations and conclusions of service or works agreements as well as on reconciliation of interests and social plans. She also assists with corporate restructurings from an employment law perspective.

Maria has developed a particular specialization in public service law with a particularly intensive activity in the area of collective bargaining law for employees and workers in the public service. She also specialises in issues relating to staff representation law, the Federal Act on Gender Equality (BGleiG) and the State Gender Equality Acts (LGG), as well as the employment law aspects of the law on severely disabled persons and dealing with the council for severely disabled persons.
Due to the special professional orientation, the clientele consists of employers, such as large, medium-sized and small companies, as well as self-employed persons. Her clients include public authorities (federal and state authorities as well as municipal employers), public enterprises and other institutions that are part of the public service, as well as trade unions.
