John Richard Eydner specialises in the entire spectrum of public procurement law up to and including the interfaces of neighbouring areas of law (including European law, budget law, administrative law, subsidy law, construction contract law, etc.). The focus of his work is the legally sound, forward-looking and pragmatic structuring and monitoring of public procurement procedures. He advises both clients and bidders at all stages of the procurement process, from the initial needs analysis to the award of the contract and beyond. He advises on the practical management of pitfalls and assists in navigating the “shallows” of public procurement law. His constant goal is the early recognition and avoidance of potential conflicts. However, he also represents his clients in reprimand proceedings as well as in review proceedings before the public procurement chambers and public procurement tribunals and in other official and judicial proceedings related to public procurement law (e.g. national and European appeal proceedings, interim relief, access to documents, damages, etc.).

John Richard is chairman of the Berlin/Brandenburg regional group of the German Procurement Network (DVNW). In addition to his work as a lawyer, he gives lectures and seminars and is the author of numerous publications on public procurement law.
